FALL REGISTRATIONS ARE FINALLY HAPPENING!

IF you are interested in participating in our field hockey, soccer, cheering, flag football or football program, you can now register online at www.ayssports.siplay.com.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Due to Covid 19, there is a chance that our programs may be slightly modified to adhere to the State of Maine and CDC guidelines. However, we plan to offer each sport for a 6 wk. session and hope to keep them similar to previous seasons. We are finalizing our AYS Continue to Play guidelines and will be sending those out to participants as soon as possible.

FIELD HOCKEY: Field hockey is for kids in grades K-6. Fee is $40.00. Players must provide their own stick, goggles, shin guards, cleats and mouth guard.

Little Sticks is for Pre-K through 2nd grade and will focus on introducing basic field hockey knowledge, basic stick/ball handling skills, athletic development and having fun. They will hold their sessions on Sunday mornings.

Regular Field hockey generally has two divisions. One for 3rd - 4th grade and another for grades 5th & 6th. Depending on numbers, divisions may differ. Field hockey teams usually play on the weekends and some travel is required for away games.

SOCCER: AYS soccer is for boys & girls grades pre-k-6th grade. Fee is $40.00. Athletes need to supply their own shin guards, mouth guards and cleats.

Little Kickers is for grades PreK, K & 1st graders that are first year players or aren't ready to move up to competition play. If parents wish, their child can repeat Little Kickers or they can sign their 1st grader up for the Juniors Division. *The focus will be on developing soccer skills, athletic development & having fun.

Juniors is coed for grades 1 through 3. They will focus will be on advancing skill development of passing, dribbling, positioning & fun. Games will be every Saturday at home field with 1-2 practices during the week

Premier is for grades 4th-6th. The are both boy teams and girl team. They will focus is on fun and developing team play by implementing more of a game strategy as well as improving proper positioning, standard skills and goal scoring. Games will be every Saturday with 1-2 practices a week. Games will be Saturday, both home & away.

CHEERING: Cheering is for boys or girls in grades K-8. Fee is $40.00. Cheerleaders must provide their own sneakers, spandex/shorts and socks

They usually cheer for the AYS Football teams at both home and away games. Cheerleading squads are normally broken up by grade to coincide with the football team ages. Depending on the number of signups, there may not be one squad per football team.

FLAG FOOTBALL is for kids in grades K, 1 & 2. The fee for flag football is $40. They are usually a part of the Central Maine Football League. They will learn skills and knowledge to prepare them for future contact football.

FOOTBALL is for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. Fee is $100. Teams are broken into 3 groups; 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade & 7th/8th grade.

Contact athletes will be provided with everything needed above the waist. (shoulder pads, helmets and mouth guards). JERSEYS WILL BE PURCHASED BY AYS FOR NEW ATHLETES OR FOR ANY ATHLETE WHO HAS OUTGROWN JERSEY OR ARE IN NEED FOR A NEW ONE.

Everything under the waist will need to be supplied by the athlete. the usual: cleats, protective cup, 7 piece padded black football game pants and any shirt large enough to fit over shoulder pads during practices.

*DUE TO AYS STILL FIGURING OUT GUIDELINES & POSSIBLE MODIFICATIONS FOR THIS SEASON WITH THE REST OF CMFL LEAGUE, WE ARE USING THE TRYOUT REGISTRATION WHICH WILL ALLOW INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS TO REGISTER WITHOUT PAYING A REGISTRATION FEE PRIOR TO START. THIS WILL ALLOW AYS TO KNOW NUMBERS TO HELP PREPARE. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ANYONE PLANNING ON PLAYING THIS SEASON TO REGISTER BEFORE 8/23!

WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE THE SEASON FOLLOW PAST SEASONS WITH AMOUNT OF PRACTICE & GAME TIMES/SCHEDULES. ONCE WE HAVE EVERYTHING PUT TOGETHER, REGISTRATION FEE OF $100.00 WILL BE DUE PRIOR TO EQUIPMENT PICKUP
